Unfortunately, spiking prices and supply shortages prevented Marquette Heights along with many other communities from securing a contract for electric supply beginning in June 2022, so participants in the municipal aggregation program will be returned to Ameren supply from Homefield for the months of July and August 2022.
Customers do not need to take any action for the switch to Ameren’s utility supply. Our consultant, Good Energy, L.P., continues to work with multiple suppliers to establish a reasonable price for our community’s municipal aggregation program as the markets are moderating. We hope to have a negotiated price and schedule to allow resuming our program’s service by August 1.
